TransHelp is Peel’s specialized public transit.
For more than 40 years, TransHelp has been helping residents with disabilities maintain independence through accessible, door-to-door transportation.
Why the TransHelp Advisory Committee is so important
Understanding accessibility from the point of view of our passengers and residents is extremely valuable. TransHelp Advisory Committee (TAC) members are volunteers who work together to evolve TransHelp by listening to and considering everyone’s needs and experiences.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for volunteer members who:
- Want to help improve specialized public transit in Peel.
- Are willing to share their knowledge and perspective.
- Can attend 8 – 10 meetings throughout the year (online or in person).
- Can commit to the committee until December 2030.
- Are 18 years or older and Canadian citizens.
- Are not elected officials, members of any regional or municipal accessibility committees, or employed by Peel Region, the City of Brampton, the City of Mississauga, or the Town of Caledon.
What you’ll do
As a TransHelp Advisory Committee member, you’ll:
- Speak up for people with disabilities.
- Help make public transit better in Peel.
- Help design and implement policies and programs.
- Meet interesting people from different backgrounds.
- Learn more about accessibility to help raise awareness.
- Strengthen your professional skill set.

We will invite selected applicants to attend a virtual interview.
