    Baby feeding support services

    Inclusive and welcoming baby feeding support services are available to every family, including:

    • Telephone consultations with public health nurses who can answer questions on various topics, including baby’s feeding patterns, breast milk supply, safe formula preparation, and paced bottle feeding.
    • In-person home visits for parents who need hands-on support for latching, breastfeeding positions and more.
    • In-person clinic appointments are available through referral, based on individual needs.

    Telephone support and in-person home visits can be offered in other languages.

    There is no cost for these services.

    How to access services

    Call 905-799-7700, or toll-free 1-888-919-7800, Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to speak with a Public Health Nurse. The nurse will help find the right type of support for you based on your current needs.

    Clinic appointments are currently being scheduled through referral only. If a clinic appointment is arranged for you, it will be at one of these locations:

    • Brampton Baby Feeding Support Clinic at 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton
    • Meadowvale Baby Feeding Support Clinic at 6975 Meadowvale Town Centre Circle, Mississauga

    International Breastfeeding Centre (Newman Clinic)

    Virtual and in-person appointments available. Online free resources are available. Visit International Breastfeeding Centre for more information. Call in advance for an appointment at 416-498-0002 ext. 221.
