    Emotion-based care approach

Peel Region integrates emotion-based care into all Virtual Adult Day Services programming. This model:

    • Prioritizes emotional well-being, personal history, and individuality.
    • Builds deeper, authentic connections between clients and staff.
    • Helps reignite a sense of joy, purpose, and connection.

Peel Region Adult Day Service has been leading with emotion-based care for years and in 2025 became the first community-based program in Canada to be certified under the Butterfly model.

    Caregiver support

Virtual Adult Day Services (ADS) provides respite, education, and support for informal caregivers who care for their loved ones living in the community.

According to the 2025 Client and Caregiver Experience survey:

    • 100% of caregivers would recommend Peel Region's ADS program to others.
    • 98% of clients were satisfied with the overall ADS programs and services they received.
    • 95% of caregivers said ADS helped their loved ones continue to live at home.

We have a free device lending program if you do not own a device but have access to Wi-Fi. This will allow you to actively participate in the group programs and or 1:1 programming. The coordinator can help set up the device as needed.
