Road construction on Bovaird Drive West
Creditview Road to Worthington Avenue. Project #12-4040
- We have finished the work. The project is under warranty until Spring 2025.
What are we doing?
- The Region of Peel is widening and improving Bovaird Drive West. View area map (PDF).
- The work includes:
- removal and replacement of the westbound bridge over the CN Rail corridor;
- reconstruction and widening of the roadway and CN Rail bridge from five to six lanes;
- new multi-use pathways along both sides of Bovaird Drive West for the full length of the project;
- enhanced streetlighting, landscaping and boulevard improvements; and,
- traffic intersection and signal improvements.
When?
- Completed.
Traffic Impacts
- Two lanes of traffic in either direction will be maintained for most works, with short duration single lane reductions only occurring during off-peak traffic hours for select activities.
- Access for emergency vehicles and businesses will be maintained at all times.
- Please use caution when travelling through the work zone and obey all traffic signs, flag persons, and Paid Duty Police Officers when present.
Working Hours
- Typical hours of work are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday.
- Some weekend and overnight work is required at the railway bridge to mitigate impact to critical CN Rail and Metrolinx service.
- Extended working hours may cause some inconvenience however they will help facilitate completion of the project as quickly and safely as possible.
Public Transit
- Brampton Transit stops may be temporarily relocated when work occurs nearby.
- Please follow posted signs to the nearest alternative or relocated stop location.
Vibrations
- You may feel slight vibrations from the construction work.
