The Sikh Community of Ontario is celebrating the 324th birthday of Khalsa. A parade will be held on Sunday, May 7.
Airport Road will be closed (Slough St - Derry Road E) on May 7th from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM with the assistance of Peel Regional Police. Detour details.
Advance notice signage and communications are in place and the event organizers have notified the community.
The parade will start at 12:00 noon from Sri Guru Singh Sabha Malton at 7280 Airport Rd., Mississauga to Morning Star Dr., East Bound, crossing the bridge of 427 at 2:45p.m. towards Humber wood Blvd., Finch Ave west to Westmore Dr., and finishing at The Sikh Spiritual Centre on Carrier Dr.
The parade will include three floats:
- Display of Guru Granth Sahib Holy Scriptures
- Historical displays of the Sikh Martial Arts
- Singing and chanting of religious songs
