Canadian Navigable Waters Act
The Regional Municipality of Peel hereby gives notice that an application has been made to the Minister of Transport, pursuant to the Canadian Navigable Waters Act for approval of the work described herein and its site and plans.
Pursuant to paragraph 7(2) of the said Act, the Regional Municipality of Peel has deposited with the Minister of Transport, on the on-line Common Project Search Registry (http://cps.canada.ca/) under the NPP File Number 2024-412405 and 2024-412406 a description of the following work, its site and plans:
The Lake Ontario Monitoring System (LOMS) Project, which involves the installation of specialized scientific equipment at the intake of two Water Treatment Plants (WTPs),
in Lake Ontario,
at Arthur P. Kennedy and Lorne Park Water Treatment Plants (WTPs),
Located at approximately 43° 33’ 29.98” N x 79° 32’ 21.73” W, PIN 13485-0372, Part Lots 9-10, Concession 3, City of Mississauga, Regional Municipality of Peel, in the Province of Ontario, and at approximately 43° 31’ 31.98” N x 79° 35’ 13.30” W, PIN 13488-1320, Lots 1-65, 16A, 29A, City of Mississauga, Regional Municipality of Peel, in the Province of Ontario.
