Peel Region and Peel Regional Police raised $254,211 for United Way Greater Toronto

BRAMPTON, ON (April 10, 2026) – Employees at Peel Region and Peel Regional Police Service have once again demonstrated their commitment to community, raising a combined $254,211 through the 2025 United Way campaign.

Peel Regional Chair Nando Iannicca presented cheques to Sarah Calderwood, VP of Communications and Public Affairs of United Way Greater Toronto, on behalf of Peel Region and Peel Regional Police Service employees.

Peel Region has proudly supported United Way for 47 consecutive years, making it one of the organization’s longest-standing municipal partners. In 2025, Peel Region employees exceeded their fundraising goal by more than $27,000, which speaks to a strong and enduring culture of generosity across the organization.

Funds raised through the campaign will help address urgent and growing needs across Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga. Through a network of 71 local agencies and more than 90 programs, United Way Greater Toronto works to reduce poverty, improve access to mental health supports, strengthen food security, and create pathways to stable housing and employment.
