Peel Region and Peel Regional Police contribute over $252,000 to United Way Greater Toronto
BRAMPTON, ON (February 27, 2025) - Peel Region is proud to announce that employees of Peel Region and Peel Regional Police Service raised $252,632 in the 2024 United Way fundraising campaign. This achievement reflects the ongoing generosity and commitment of employees supporting their local Peel communities.
Regional Chair Nando Iannicca presented two cheques at Regional Council on behalf of Peel Region and Peel Regional Police totalling $252,632.
Peel Region has been a United Way partner for more than 45 years, raising funds to support programs that tackle urgent challenges such as housing insecurity, food access, and financial instability. In 2023 and 2024, United Way Greater Toronto invested nearly $10 million in Peel, supporting over 70 agencies and more than 90 programs in communities across Brampton, Caledon, and Mississauga. Every year, Peel Region employees continue to help build a stronger, more supportive community.
