Asphalt crack sealing coming to Peel roads
BRAMPTON, ON (August 12, 2024) – Peel is advising residents of upcoming asphalt crack sealing throughout the Region which will cause temporary lane closures or restrictions on various roadways.
This year, crack sealing is scheduled to begin on August 12 through to the end of the month. We will continue it in September and October as the weather allows.
To view which roads throughout the Region have been selected for crack sealing, view the 2024 crack sealing map.
Crack sealing is completed annually to address asphalt issues in aging pavement. This preventative maintenance prevents water and debris from entering and worsening existing cracks, which helps to extend the lifespan of our roadways and enhance transportation safety.
We recognize that this work may be disruptive and impact travel. We’ll make every effort to complete this work as quickly and efficiently as possible. When passing through a work zone, slow down and drive with caution to ensure the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and work crews.
Peel completes regular road maintenance to keep our roadways in good condition and road users safe. Visit our website to learn more about Peel’s regular road servicing programs.
