Docksteader Paramedic Reporting Station
Peel Region will open its fifth paramedic reporting station in 2027. It will be located at the intersection of Dixie and Mayfield roads in Brampton and will serve as a hub for paramedic operations.
What happens at the Docksteader Station
- Paramedics start and end their shifts.
- Ambulances are cleaned, disinfected, and restocked.
- We store equipment and supplies.
- Paramedics gather for training.
Paramedic supervisors and logistics technicians will be working at this station 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help keep our 911 system running smoothly.
During the day, there will also be an operational commander and support staff.
While paramedics will start and end their day at the Docksteader Station, they’ll spend most of their time responding to calls in the community and providing emergency coverage to optimize response times for 911 calls.
To keep things quiet for our neighbours, ambulances will usually not use sirens when leaving the station.
In an emergency, dial 911
The Docksteader Station is not a hospital and is not open to the public. Do not go there in case of a medical emergency, as the doors will be locked. Call 911 if you need urgent medical care, and paramedics will come to you.
Why this station matters
As Peel region grows, so does the need for our paramedic service. The Docksteader Station will:
- Bring paramedics closer to northern Brampton and Caledon, making it easier for residents to receive care.
- Give paramedics a place to train and upgrade their skills.
