Details of the corrective measures
- Ensure alcohol-based hand rub is available at point of care
- Develop written policies and procedures outlining best practice requirements for environmental cleaning, roles and responsibilities, and the frequency of cleaning for each area of the clinic
- Implement routine environmental cleaning using appropriate cleaning and disinfecting products
- Provide formal IPAC training to all staff
- Remove all reuseable instruments from circulation and cease all reprocessing. Practice had decided to use single-use only medical instruments and will dispose immediately after use
