Our approach
Faster delivery, less time working in your neighbourhood
Flow accelerates essential water and wastewater projects to support future growth, with our teams working quickly and collaboratively to minimize on-site time while still ensuring quality.
Innovative solutions
Flow leverages advanced technologies and alternative methods for flexibility, agility, and efficient resource and budget allocation. This lets us rapidly adapt and deliver the many supporting projects of the program on time and within budget.
Unique program delivery approach
Through our new program delivery approach, Peel is grouping many construction projects together across a large geographical area. A team of experts is overseeing the work, allowing for efficiencies in program and project management, resourcing, and decision-making to help complete the work faster.
Community impact and minimized disruption
Large-scale construction will temporarily impact Peel residents and road users, but it's essential to meet future housing needs.
We appreciate your patience as we upgrade vital infrastructure. Our team is committed to minimizing disruptions with clear, timely updates, including advance notifications to help you plan your day.
Municipal collaboration
We’re continuing to work closely with our local municipalities, Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon, on planning for effective growth. Right now, we’re updating the 2020 Water and Wastewater Master Servicing Plan to align with the 2051 Official Plan and the province’s Bill 23 housing targets.
Sustainable future
We’ll prioritize sustainable practices and invest in infrastructure that ensures long-term environmental and fiscal sustainability, to help enhance our community’s ability to anticipate, prepare for, and respond to the impacts of climate change.
This includes using energy-efficient technologies, promoting water conservation, and ensuring that our infrastructure can withstand the impacts of climate change.
Commitment to growth
The Government of Ontario’s Bill 23 has set a target of building more than 245,000 residential units in our local municipalities (120,000 in Mississauga, 113,000 in Brampton and 13,000 in Caledon) by 2031.
This means that 360,000 more people in Brampton alone will need safe, reliable drinking water and properly treated wastewater. Peel is dedicated to meeting the needs of our future communities.
