Notice of Committee of Revision Hearing
Background
In accordance with the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, and associated O. Reg. 586/06, notice is hereby given that The Regional Municipality of Peel (“Peel Region”) will hold a Committee of Revision hearing to consider any objections by owners against the proposed local improvement roll, and the Peel Region’s proposed revisions to the proposed local improvement roll. The proposed revisions include a revised total cost of work and to add a lot municipally known as 30 Cadetta Road, Brampton as a property to be specially charged under O. Reg. 586/06. The following local improvement project will be considered at the hearing:

Total estimated cost of the work: $4,669,862
Rate of amortization: 4.70%
Number of annual payments: 15 Years
Estimated lifetime of asset: 50 years
Proposed Addition of 30 Cadetta Road under Section 25 of O. Reg. 586/06
Peel Region proposes to add 30 Cadetta Road (the “Subject Property”) to the local improvement roll as a property specially charged for the works. The Subject Property is a benefiting property abutting the works and was not included in the local improvement roll authorized by By-law 60-2021. The proposed addition is made under Section 25 of O. Reg. 586/06. The owner of the Subject Property may, under Section 25(3) of O. Reg. 586/06, require the hearing of the proposed addition be adjourned for a period of at least fourteen (14) days following the date on which notice of the proposed addition was given.

A copy of the local improvement roll and the statement of estimated cost will be available for public inspection from June 4, 2026 to June 18, 2026, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday at the Region of Peel, Service Peel, 10 Peel Centre Drive, Suite B, 1st Floor, Brampton, ON.

Please note that while the Committee of Revision hearing is open to the public, only the owners of a lot to be specially charged may file an objection. Any owner who wishes to file an objection to the proposed special charge or to the proposed addition of 30 Cadetta Road, Brampton to the roll must do so in writing by no later than June 11, 2026, being seven (7) days prior to the June 18, 2026 hearing. Written objections received after the June 11, 2026 deadline will not be accepted.
Please note if no objection or proposed revision is received by June 11, 2026, being seven (7) days prior to the June 18, 2026 hearing, the Treasurer of Peel Region shall certify the local improvement roll, without a hearing by the Committee of Revision. The local improvement roll, when certified by the Treasurer, and the special charges set out in the certified local improvement roll are final and binding, except where otherwise provided in O. Reg. 586/06.
Please note that your name will appear on the agenda and minutes of the Committee of Revision if you provide oral or written submissions to the Committee. The agendas and minutes of the Committee of Revision will appear on the Peel Region Website as a public record of the proceedings.
