Projects 18-1380 and 11-2380 - March 21, 2023 update
Streets affected: Elizabeth Street North and Queen Street West, Brampton
Notice of temporary traffic impacts
The Region of Peel has been working in your neighborhood to replace the watermain along Queen Street West. This work is required to maintain and improve existing water and wastewater services.
At this stage in the project, temporary lane closures and turning restrictions will be required to complete this work.
Traffic impacts
It will be necessary to dig a temporary trench in the eastbound lanes of Queen Street at Elizabeth Street North.
For this reason:
- It will not be possible to turn onto Elizabeth Street North from Queen Street West.
- It will not be possible to turn onto Queen Street West from Elizabeth Street North.
A detour route will be clearly marked with road signs. Residents who live on Elizabeth Street North will be able to access their homes from Nelson Street West.
- During this time, Queen Street West will be reduced to one lane in each direction at Elizabeth Street North. Please expect delays and choose alternate routes if possible.
These temporary traffic impacts are expected to occur from 7 a.m. on Monday, March 27, 2023, until 5 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023. Weather and other unpredictable events may change the date of these traffic impacts. We apologize for any delays or inconvenience resulting from these traffic impacts.
