Project 25-2135
Streets affected: Heritage Road from Financial Drive to Brasstown Valley Trail
Advance notice
Peel Region will be installing sanitary sewer pipes and maintenance holes in your area within the next two years as shown on the attached map. Sanitary sewers are underground pipes that carry wastewater from your home or business to a water resource recovery facility. Wastewater is created when water goes down a drain or toilet. As pipes age, we need to replace them to provide you with high-quality wastewater services.
Before construction begins
- We’ll use spray paint or flags on roads, driveways, and lawns to locate underground gas, hydro, and cable.
- We may drill holes in the road or municipal right-of-way to collect soil samples, determine ground conditions, or confirm utility locations.
- We’ll take pictures and videos to help restore the area as close as possible to its former condition, after construction.
We expect these activities to happen between September 2026 and October 2026.
Keeping you informed
We’re currently in the early planning stages, so we cannot give exact dates. As your city’s future planning activities may change, we may also update our plans to install sanitary sewers. We’ll deliver more detailed information closer to the start of construction.
