Project 25-1370A – August 31, 2026 update
Streets affected: Maple Grove Road
Project update
Peel Region recently installed new watermains in your area. This work is required to keep providing with high-quality water. We’ll be returning to do additional repair work on driveways along Maple Grove Road.
Construction schedule
Construction is planned to start Tuesday, September 1, 2026, and finish on Friday, September 4, 2026. These dates may change due to weather and other unexpected events.
Traffic and parking
We may need to temporarily close roads or reduce traffic to a single lane. If this is needed, we will place signs giving directions. On-street parking will be reduced when we are working on your street.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes. Learn more about staying safe in construction areas.
Driveway access and parking
We may block your driveway for a short time to pave the road. We’ll ensure businesses can be accessed when possible. Contact us if you have any access needs.
Please avoid parking on your driveway when it is being repaired. We’ll knock on your door before driveway work begins. If you will not be home weekdays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., do not leave any vehicles on the driveway. Avoid driving on new asphalt for the first three hours and parking on it for one day after paving.
Residents are encouraged to apply for a temporary pass to park on streets outside the construction area for alternate parking. Visit the Town of Caledon website to apply for a free parking pass.
Repairing driveways
- Asphalt driveways: If we need to cut a section of your driveway, it will be repaired by paving a strip over the impacted area, resulting in minimal seams. Peel cannot replace your entire driveway. If you would like to have the rest of your driveway paved, please contact the contractor, Nelli Construction, at 416-241-1622. The contractor will then share contact information for the company hired to do the paving repairs. Please remember this is your choice. If you decide to have your entire driveway repaved, this extra paving work is your responsibility and outside Peel Region jurisdiction.
- Interlock or concrete driveways: If we damage a portion of your driveway, our contractor will repair the damaged portion.
Repairing roads
We’ll pave the road where it was affected by construction. This work will start on Tuesday, September 1, weather permitting. We’ll deliver more detailed information closer to the start date.
Warranty on construction repairs
Repair work completed as part of this project is warrantied until two years after the project is completed.
It’s normal for repaired areas to settle. Let us know if you notice large potholes forming where the driveway, street, or lawn was repaired and we’ll ensure these are fixed before the warranty period ends.
