Project update
Peel Region is investigating future rehabilitation of the watermains in your area.
Watermains are underground pipes that bring tap water from our treatment plants to your neighbourhood.
During the testing, there will be no interruption to your water supply, and no digging or excavation will be required. The condition assessments use advanced technology that generates subtle vibrations, which are detected by sensors attached to hydrants and valves. The vibrations are so faint that they can only be picked up by specialized equipment and are otherwise undetectable by human senses.
We expect these activities to take place between September 15, 2025 and end by October 31, 2025.
Contractor working hours
The work will be completed by Kenwave Solutions Inc. under contract to Peel Region. Working hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Traffic and parking
There may be minor disruptions to traffic. We do not expect to need to reduce traffic lanes during this project for a long duration.
