Project 24-2194
Street affected: Humber Station Road
Advance notice
As part of the Flow | South Caledon Program, Peel Region will be installing a new sanitary trunk sewer in your area, as shown on the attached map.
Sanitary trunk sewers are large underground pipes that carry wastewater from your home or business to a water resource recovery facility. Wastewater is created when water goes down a drain or toilet. As our population grows, we need to build larger sewers to provide you with high quality wastewater services.
Important note
Construction will take place in the municipal right-of-way. This includes the street and the municipal-owned land between the street and the water service box, a small, round, metal valve located outside on the property line between your home or business and the road.
This work may impact the bottom of your driveway. We recommend that you delay major landscaping or driveway paving until construction is completed.
Before construction begins
- We’ll use spray paint or flags on roads, driveways, and lawns to locate underground gas, hydro, and cable.
- We may drill holes in the road or municipal right-of-way to collect soil samples, determine ground conditions, or confirm utility locations.
- We’ll take pictures and videos to help restore the area as close as possible to its former condition, after construction.
We expect these activities to happen in late Spring 2026.
Keeping you informed
We’re currently in the planning stages, so we cannot give exact dates. As your town’s future planning activities may change, we may also update our plans. We’ll deliver more detailed information closer to the start of construction.
