Project 24-1969
Streets affected: Macville booster pump station at King Street and Coleraine Drive
Advance notice
As part of the Flow | South Caledon Program, Peel Region will be constructing a new water booster pump station in your area starting in late Spring /early Summer 2026, as shown on the attached map.
Watermains are underground pipes that bring tap water from our water treatment facility to your area. As communities grow and water travels longer distances, additional pressure is sometimes needed to ensure water continues to flow reliably throughout the system. A booster pump station increases water pressure in the pipes so that residents and businesses continue to receive a consistent supply of safe, high-quality drinking water.
Important note
Construction will take place in a combination of the municipal right-of-way and within Peel Region property. The municipal right-of-way includes the road and the municipal-owned land between the road and the water service box, a small, round, metal valve located outside on the property line between your home or business and the road.
This work may impact the end of your driveway and the area around the sidewalk. We recommend that you delay major landscaping or driveway paving until construction is completed.
Before construction begins:
- We’ll use spray paint or flags on roads, driveways, and lawns to locate underground gas, hydro, and cable.
- We may drill holes in the road or municipal right-of-way to collect soil samples, determine ground conditions, or confirm utility locations.
- We’ll take pictures and videos to help restore the area as close as possible to its former condition, after construction.
We expect these activities to take place in early Spring 2026.
