Construction work in your area
Peel Region will be replacing a culvert along The Gore Road in Caledon between Mayfield Road and Healey Road. Culverts are underground structures that carry rainwater and melted snow from roadside ditches to local creeks, rivers, and Lake Ontario.
Construction schedule
Construction is expected to start late September 2026 and finish by October 2026. These dates may change due to weather and other unexpected events.
Contractor working hours
The work will be completed by Capital Sewer Services Inc. under contract to Peel Region. Working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with local municipal bylaws and help shorten the amount of time construction is in your area.
Traffic and parking
The Gore Road will be temporarily reduced to a single lane through this area. This lane reduction will take place from late September until October 12. During this time, traffic will be directed by flag persons. The onsite contractor will guide emergency service vehicles and school buses through the work zone.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes. Visit work zone safety for more information.
