Construction work in your area
Peel Region will be correcting deficiencies in the sanitary sewer liner on Mimosa Row. Sanitary sewers are underground pipes that carry wastewater from your business or home to a water resource recovery facility. Wastewater is created when water goes down a drain or toilet.
We’ll clean the sewer pipe and place a new resin (plastic) lining inside to extend its life. This work will be completed underground and will not require digging trenches in your neighbourhood.
Construction schedule
Construction is expected to start November 17, 2025, and finish by November 28, 2025. These dates may change due to weather and other unexpected events.
Contractor working hours
The work will be completed by Capital Sewers under contract to Peel Region. Working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with local municipal bylaws and help shorten the amount of time construction is in your neighbourhood.
Traffic and parking
We may need to temporarily reduce traffic lanes. If this is needed, we will place signs giving directions. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained.
Odours
You may smell odours which will go away within a few hours.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area.
