Project 23-1340 D - June 5, 2024 update

Streets affected: Central Park Drive and Torbram Road

Peel Region is working in your neighbourhood to replace the watermains along Central Park Drive, Greenmount Road, Gulliver Crescent, Grenadier Road, Greenwood Crescent, Groveland Crescent, Groveland Court, and Grovetree Place.

The City of Brampton, under the Noise Bylaw, is allowing work to be done by our contractor overnight. This work will take place overnight in order to minimize the impact of water interruptions on local businesses, schools, and daycares. This overnight work will occur on Central Park Drive and Torbram Road. We apologize in advance for any inconveniences caused by this work.

Schedule

This overnight work is expected to take place occasionally during evenings and nights, between Thursday June 6th and Friday June 28th, 2024. Works are anticipated to take place between 4:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. the next day. Additional nights may be required due to unpredictable delays, such as poor weather conditions.

Noise

We do not anticipate significant noise or vibrations above normal daytime construction levels during these operations. Efforts will be made to reduce impacts to local residents as much as possible.

Safety during construction

Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe – pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and construction workers. When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, account for delays, and consider other routes if possible.
