- Temporarily repaired the road where, affected by construction on Eglinton Avenue West by Credit River.
Schedule for remaining construction and repair work
Construction was paused due to freezing temperatures. We expect to start again on June 16, 2026 to complete the following:
- Complete the repair of road and sod (grass) where affected by our construction.
We plan to finish in early 2026. These dates may change due to weather and other unexpected events. All work is warrantied for two years from the completion date.
What to expect during construction
Refer to our short video to learn what to expect before, during, and after watermain construction. The video also answers common questions about:
- Why your water may be temporarily shut off.
- How traffic, parking, and waste collection may be affected.
- How driveways, roads, and sod are repaired.
Contractor working hours
The work will be completed by Vic’s Group Inc., under contract to Peel Region. Working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with local municipal bylaws and help shorten the amount of time construction is in your neighborhood.
Traffic and parking
We may need to temporarily close roads or reduce traffic to a single lane. If this is needed, we will place signs giving directions. On-street parking will be reduced when we are working on your street.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes. Learn more about how to stay safe in construction zones.
