Project update
Peel Region has been installing new watermains and sanitary sewers along Queen St. E.
Under the City of Brampton Noise Bylaw, work is allowed to take place overnight (between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.) to reduce the impact of our work. It will take place on Queen St. E between Beaumaris Dr. & Cherrycrest Dr.
Schedule
This work is expected to take place from Monday June 15, 7 p.m. until Friday June 19, 7 a.m. Additional nights may be required due to weather and other unexpected events.
Traffic impacts
This work will require additional lane closures on Queen St. E from Beaumaris Dr. to Cherrycrest Dr. During the overnight work, we may need to temporarily close roads or reduce traffic to a single lane. If this is needed, we will place signs giving directions. On-street parking will be reduced when we are working on your street.
Noise
We do not expect significant noise or vibrations above normal daytime construction levels during this time. Efforts will be made to reduce impacts to local residents.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area.
