Snelgrove elevated tank demolition

Construction update

Peel Region is working in your neighbourhood to take down and remove the Snelgrove Elevated Tank located at 2819 Mayfield Road at the corner of Mayfield Road and Cresthaven Road.

Construction schedule

Construction is planned for this spring and is expected to end in the fall, 2025. These timelines are estimates, as weather and other unexpected events may impact our timelines.

What to expect from now until May 31, 2025

Contractor information and working hours

Peel Region has engaged consultant CIMA+ and contractor TriPhase Group to complete this work. TriPhase’s normal working hours are from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday, with potential weekend work as needed. These hours are consistent with the local municipality’s bylaws.

TriPhase will be on site on May 20 to start creating a temporary access road and disconnect the elevated tank from the water system. This work will not affect the community’s drinking water supply.

Temporary dog park and park closure

The dog park will be temporarily closed as of May 20 and will remain closed until the fall, 2025. Alternative City of Brampton dog parks include:
