Project update
As part of the Flow | Central Brampton Program, Peel Region has been working in your area to replace the watermain along Main Street North between Vodden Street and Church Street. This work is required to maintain and improve existing water services.
Peel Region will be installing a temporary watermain from Vodden Street to Church Street. We will connect you to the new watermain bypass once it is installed. We are doing this work so that we can construct a new replacement watermain in the street.
Construction schedule
Construction is planned to start August 2026 and finish by end of the year. These dates may change due to weather and other unexpected events. All work is warrantied for two years from the completion date.
Contractor working hours
Standard working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with local municipal bylaws and help shorten the amount of time construction is in your neighborhood. There may be a need for weekend or overnight work but we will advise you prior to it being done.
Traffic impacts
We may need to temporarily close lanes or reduce traffic to a single lane during construction. If we must reroute traffic, we will place signs giving directions.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes. Learn more about how to stay safe in construction zones.
