Project 19-1156 – August 25, 2026 update
Street affected: Main Street North at Vodden Street
Project update
As part of the Flow | Central Brampton Program, Peel Region has been replacing the watermain along Main Street North. Under the City of Brampton Noise Bylaw, work is allowed to take place over the weekend (between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.) to reduce the impact of our work. It will take place on Main Street North at Vodden Street.
Schedule
This work is expected to take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional days may be required due to weather and other unexpected events.
Traffic impacts
We may need to temporarily close roads or reduce traffic to a single lane. If this is needed, we will place signs giving directions. On-street parking will be reduced when we are working on your street.
Noise
We do not expect significant noise or vibrations above normal daytime construction levels during this time. Efforts will be made to reduce impacts to local residents.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes. Learn more about how to stay safe in construction zones.
