Project 18-2976
Street affected: 3900 Ebenezer Road, Brampton
Construction work in your area
Peel Region will be improving Sewage Pumping Station located at 3900 Ebenezer Road, Brampton. Wastewater usually flows downhill through sewer pipes. A sewage pumping station is used in low spots to pump it uphill so it can reach the wastewater treatment plant. This work is required to keep providing you with high-quality wastewater services.
Background
Over the next three years, the Peel Region will upgrade this pumping station and add new emergency storage tank to increase its capacity. These upgrades will help the system handle more wastewater, reduce the risk of sewer backups or spills to the lake, and keep the wastewater system reliable for the future.
Construction
Construction is planned to start April 13, 2026 and finish in the end of 2028. These dates may change due to weather and other unexpected events. All work is warrantied for 2 years from the completion date.
- Excavation and concrete structure: Spring 2026
- Equipment installations: Spring 2027
- Connections to the new facility: Summer 2028
Contractor working hours
The work will be completed by Torbear Contractor Inc. under contract to Peel Region. Working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with local municipal bylaws and help shorten the amount of time construction is in your neighbourhood.
