Project 18-1169 – May 7, 2024 update

Notice of temporary road closure.

Streets affected: Queen Street East and Cherrycrest Drive Intersection

Peel Region has been working in your neighbourhood to install watermains and sanitary sewer pipes along Queen Street East. This work is required to maintain and improve existing water and wastewater services.

At this stage in the project, a temporary nightly road closure will be required to complete this work.

Traffic impacts

A portion of Cherrycrest Drive will be closed nightly (from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) to all through traffic from Queen Street East to 75 meters north of Queen Street East (south of Ebenezer Road). This temporary road closure is expected to occur from May 13th to May 14th.

The Brampton Transit bus stops in this area will remain unaffected, including:
- Cherrycrest Drive: Stop ID 2248 (Route 36 does not operate overnight).
- Queen Street East: Stop ID 4312.
All driveway access will be maintained.
Digital road signs will remain in place throughout the work and will be updated accordingly.
