Project 18-1169 – July 18, 2024 update
Streets affected: Cherrycrest Drive and McVean Drive Intersections on Queen Street East
Peel Region has been working in your neighborhood to install watermains and sanitary sewer pipes along Queen Street East. This work is required to maintain and improve existing water and wastewater services. View attached map.
At this stage in the project, nightly road closures will be required to complete the paving restoration.
Traffic impacts
- Connections of Cherrycrest Drive and McVean Drive to Queen Street East will be alternatingly closed nightly (from 7pm to 7am) to all through traffic. These temporary road closures are expected to occur from July 25th to July 27th.
- During Cherrycrest Drive Closure:
- Queen Street East Bus Stop ID 4312 will be temporarily closed.
- All other bus stops will be unaffected.
- During McVean Drive Closure:
- Bus stops 3616 and 3410 of Route 1 on Ebenezer Road will be temporary closed and transferred to Cherrycrest Drive
- All other bus stops will be unaffected (Route 36 does not operate overnight).
- All driveway access will be maintained.
- Digital road signs will remain in place throughout the work and will be updated accordingly.
