Project 17-4890 – October 21 to October 22, 2024 – update
Streets affected: Queen Street Culvert rehabilitation
The Region of Peel is rehabilitating the culvert over Spring Creek on Queen Street, located between Central Park Drive and Bramalea Road in the City of Brampton.
Traffic Impacts, Overnight Works
The final phase of the project is the top asphalt paving of the entire work area.
The work in this stage, will require alternating shifting of traffic from one side of the road to the other, while work takes place on the opposite side. There will be pay duty police present at the intersection of Queen Street and Central Park Drive to help direct the traffic.
To alleviate impact on traffic and to accelerate the project’s schedule, works in this stage will be completed overnight. The work is planned to start in the evening of Monday, October 21, 2024, and be completed in the morning of Tuesday, October 22, 2024, weather permitting.
This will be the last stage of the culvert rehabilitation works and after that, all traffic restrictions will be removed.
We understand that this work will cause inconvenience and every effort will be made to minimize impacts on residents and motorists.
