Construction update
McLaughlin Road closure, local traffic only from August 5, 2025 to September 24, 2025.
Further to our Resident Notices dated May 8, 2025, Peel Region is committed to keeping you informed of the progress of this project and any changes to the project schedule.
This project has been progressing well; however, in order to install a large pipe culvert, a full road closure will be required on McLaughlin Road from August 05, 2025, to September 24, 2025, between Olde Base Line Road and Boston Mills Road. Please refer to the detour map for alternative routing information.
Construction schedule
The Olde Base Line Road Improvements are anticipated to be completed by the end 2025. The remaining works include culvert installations, road resurfacing, intersection streetlighting improvements, pavement markings, and landscaping.
Traffic control
McLaughlin Road will be closed to through traffic. Local access will be permitted on McLaughlin Road from north of Boston Mills intersection. Emergency services, if required will be permitted.
Waste collection and mail delivery
We do not anticipate any changes to your garbage and recycling schedule. Please mark your house number on your containers or bins to help with identification. Should there be any changes to mail delivery, you will be notified in advance.
