Streets affected: Old King Road.
Peel Region has been working in your area to install new sanitary sewers. At this stage of the project, we are installing a new sanitary sewer along Old King Road. Sanitary sewers are underground pipes that carry wastewater from your home to a wastewater treatment plant. Wastewater is created when water goes down the drain or is flushed down the toilet. As our population grows, we need to build new sewers to keep providing high quality wastewater services.
Traffic impacts update
Old King Road will continue to be closed to all traffic just west of Deer Hollow Court, as shown on the map below. This closure will remain in place to ensure the safety of both the public and construction personnel during sanitary sewer construction. This road is now expected to remain in place until November 30, 2023.
For access to Old King Road, please follow the detour route on the map above. This detour route will be clearly marked with road signs.
