Project 17-2280 - November 3, 2025 update
Streets affected: Old King Road – Albion Vaughan Road to King Street
Road closure notice
Peel Region, in joint partnership with the Town of Caledon, will be paving Old King Road following minor repairs and improvements. Thank you for your cooperation while we finish this work.
Schedule
We expect road paving activities to take place on Old King Road between November 6-14, weather permitting and will be completed by approximately 4 p.m.
Working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. Road paving may be delayed due to weather conditions, as it cannot take place when the ground is saturated with water, or the temperature is below 7C.
Driveway access and parking
Please do not park on the street (or leave any materials) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. when work is scheduled for your street.
While your street is being paved, we may block your driveway for a short time. As paving work approaches your home, we recommend parking on another street, if needed.
Residents are encouraged to apply for a temporary pass to park on streets outside the construction area for alternate parking. Apply for a free parking pass from the Town of Caledon.
Traffic impacts
Paving will take place in stages. This will mean temporary closures of some road sections and intersections used to enter or exit the subdivision. Residents should take note of the closures shown on the map. This plan will help keep the work area safe and allow crews to finish the paving as quickly as possible. Where required, signs or a flag person will be on site to give directions.

Closure starting at 7:00 a.m.
- Intersection #1 (Old King Rd and King St) will be closed.
- Paving will begin between sections #1 and #2 (King St E to Bond St).
- After that, paving will continue between sections #2 and #3 (Bond St to Deer Hollow Ct).
- Deer Hollow Court will stay open.
- During this time, all traffic must use #4 intersection (Old King Rd and King Vaughan Rd) to enter or exit the area.
In the afternoon:
- Intersection #4 (Old King Rd and King Vaughan Rd) will be closed.
- Paving will then happen between sections #3 and #4 (Deer Hollow Ct to Albion Vaughan Rd).
- Bond Street will be open.
- During this time, all traffic must use #1 intersection (Old King Rd and King St) to enter or exit the area.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes. Learn more about how to stay safe in construction zones.
