Project 13-1347H3 – March 4, 2025 update
Streets affected: South Sheridan Way
Peel Region has been working in your neighbourhood to replace the watermain along South Sheridan Way and crossing the QEW. This work is required to maintain and improve existing water services.
At this stage of the project, a lane closure will be required to complete this work.
Traffic impacts
South Sheridan Way will be reduced to a single lane between Southdown Road and Clarkson Road North with only eastbound traffic allowed through. This lane reduction is expected to start on April 28 until the end of June 2025.
During this time, westbound traffic will be directed along a detour route which is shown in the attached map.
This work was not completed during the previous road closure due to concerns with the existing watermain location. Design changes were made for the new watermain which required updated approvals and permits.
Safety during construction
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe – pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and construction workers. When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, account for delays, and consider other routes if possible.
