Project 13-1347H3 - February 15, 2024 update
Streets affected: South Sheridan Way from Indian Road to Tridom Court.
Peel Region has been working in your neighbourhood to replace the watermain along South Sheridan Way from Southdown Road to Tridom Court. This work is required to maintain and improve your existing water service.
Phase 1 of the project will be successfully completed by early April. At that time South Sheridan Way will be reopened from Southdown Road to Indian Road.
Phase 2 – South Sheridan Way between Indian Road and Tridom Court will begin immediately after Phase 1.
Phase 2 traffic impacts
- Beginning in early April the intersection of South Sheridan Way and Indian Road east to Calgary Court will be closed for approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
- After the intersection work is completed a portion of the road will be reopened and the closure will shift east of the intersection. At that time South Sheridan Way will be closed to all through traffic from Calgary Court to Tridom Court until early 2025.
- A detour route will be clearly marked with road signs. Please see the attached map of the detour routes for both planned road closures.
- Residents and businesses will always have access to their properties while the work is taking place.
- Emergency service vehicles will be allowed through the closure with guidance from the onsite contractor.
We apologize in advance for any delays or inconvenience caused by these traffic impacts.

Safety during construction
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe – pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and construction workers. When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, account for delays, and consider other routes if possible. Learn more about how to stay safe in construction zones.
Thank you for your patience as we complete this necessary work. This work will allow us to continue providing you with high quality tap water.
