Construction details
The work includes:
- Clearing, grubbing, and earthworks excavation.
- New granular road base and asphalt pavement.
- Culvert replacements.
- Intersection lighting.
- Landscaping.
Construction schedule
Construction is planned to begin in May 2026 and be completed by the end of June 2027 (weather permitting).
Working hours
Rafat General Contractor Inc. has been contracted to complete the work on Peel Region’s behalf. Hours of operation will be from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Traffic control
- A lane per direction is to be maintained whenever possible.
- Should a lane per direction not be possible, the Contractor’s work shall allow a minimum of a single lane of traffic and shall have flag persons and/or temporary signals onsite to guide traffic.
- Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
- Barriers and signs will be placed for safety and direction, as required under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Driveway access
When working on driveways, the Contractor will stage their work to maintain, at a minimum, one-half of the entrance for vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
