Project 10-1966
Street affected: 3121 King Street, Inglewood, Caledon
Construction work in your area
Peel Region is constructing a new water storage facility located at 3121 King Street, Inglewood, Caledon. Tap water comes from our water treatment facilities and is delivered through underground watermains to your area. This work is required to keep providing you with high-quality water.
Background
The Victoria Reservoir will provide additional treated water storage for fire protection, emergency supply, and day-to-day water use. Once constructed, the facility will support long-term water system reliability for residents and businesses in north Brampton and Caledon, as the population and demand grow.
The above-ground water storage facility is being built on the south side of King Street, east of Hurontario Street, in the Hamlet of Victoria. Environmental studies and approvals have been completed to protect the surrounding natural area during construction and operation.
Construction schedule
Construction started on April 30, 2025, and is expected to finish in early 2028. These dates may change due to weather and other unexpected events.
Contractor working hours
The work is being completed by Maple Reinders Constructors Ltd. under contract to Peel Region. Working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday. These hours are consistent with local municipal bylaws and help shorten the amount of time construction is in your area.
Traffic and parking
We may need to temporarily close roads or reduce traffic to a single lane. If this is needed, we will place signs giving directions.
Vibrations, noise, and dust
You could feel slight vibrations and experience some minor noise and dust from construction work. We may also run generators to maintain operations at the facility. Generators will meet the strictest noise and emissions measures.
Construction safety
Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe. Be aware of your surroundings when driving, walking, or biking near the construction area. Watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, and consider other routes. Learn more about work zone safety.
Repairing impacted areas
We’ll start repairing the road, shoulders, and ditches once construction has completed. Repairs may be delayed due to contractor availability or certain seasonal weather conditions.
