Construction update notice
Further to our Resident Notice dated May 7, 2026, Peel Region is committed to keeping you informed of the progress of this project and any changes to the project schedule.
Peel Region will be installing a large culvert crossing on Winston Churchill Boulevard, which will require a full road closure from June 22, 2026, to November 13, 2026, between Wanless Drive and Bovaird Drive/Guelph Street. Refer to the detour map for alternative routing information.
Construction schedule
The Winston Churchill Boulevard Reconstruction and Corridor Improvements project is anticipated to be completed by Fall 2027.
Traffic control
Winston Churchill Boulevard Road will be closed to through traffic. Local access will be permitted from either ends of the road closure limits. Emergency services if required will be permitted.
Waste collection and mail delivery
We do not anticipate any changes to your garbage and recycling schedule. Please mark your house number on your containers or bins to help with identification. Should there be any changes to mail delivery, you will be notified in advance.
