Notice of Public Information Centre #1 – March 25, 2026

Background
As part of the Flow | Central Brampton Program, Peel Region is launching the Downtown Brampton Water and Wastewater Capacity Improvements Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study (Schedule B MCEA). This project will help ensure local water and wastewater systems can support future growth, including new buildings planned in the downtown core and along the Queen Street corridor by 2030. Improvements to key wastewater trunk sewer and watermain systems will serve the Brampton GO, Centre Street and Kennedy Major Transit Station Areas in Downtown Brampton.
Process
This study will follow the 2024 Schedule B MCEA process, including background studies, Indigenous engagement and public and stakeholder consultation, evaluation of alternatives, selection of the preferred sewer and watermain routes, and schedule of completion.
