About the project
Peel Region is undertaking a Complete Corridor Study and Preliminary Design to improve Highway 50 from Queen Street East to The Gore Road. The objective of the study is to transform the road into a “complete corridor” that accommodates all modes of transportation, including walking, cycling, and motor vehicles, while enhancing safety, accessibility, the public realm, and overall road operations.
Potential improvements may include:
- New or upgraded active transportation facilities
- Intersection and roadway upgrades
- Enhanced street lighting
- Improved stormwater management
- Measures to keep infrastructure in good condition
We want your feedback
An online public engagement has been arranged to provide members of the public with an opportunity to review the preliminary preferred solution, study details and provide their input. All comments received will be considered when confirming the final solution for the Highway 50 improvements.
Information on the study will be available online beginning September 23, 2026.
Comments or questions on the study information may be submitted to one of the project team members by October 23, 2026.
