We appreciate early childhood professionals
Early childhood professionals shape futures every day. They are essential to Peel’s early years and child care system, and our community.
These skilled, trained professionals work in licensed child care and EarlyON programs, and with Peel Inclusion Resource Services (PIRS). They make positive impacts on children and families, providing children with a strong foundation to become caring, thoughtful people.
In honour of their invaluable service, on October 21 you’ll see our appreciation flag flying proudly in front of Peel Region’s main office buildings in Brampton and Mississauga.
On that day, those same buildings will be lit up in blue to celebrate Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day.
We’re also asking our municipal partners in Brampton, Caledon, and Mississauga to show their appreciation by lighting their clock towers or raising the campaign flag at their city or town hall on October 21.
Get involved
Join us in thanking our dedicated early childhood professionals for helping children and families learn and grow in safe, inclusive, and engaging spaces across Peel.
Pick up a free thank you card at your child care provider or EarlyON Centre. Then you or your child can write a note telling an early childhood professional what their work means to you and your family.
