Holiday schedule for Peel Public Health clinics and services (December 2025 to January 2026)
Key messages
- Essential public health services will continue to operate during the holiday period to ensure ongoing support for our community.
- Some public health services will have adjusted holiday hours. Refer to the following schedule.
Essential public health services
The general holiday office hours for Peel Public Health are:
- 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on December 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, 31.
- Closed December 25, 26, and January 1, 2026.
A public health nurse, public health inspector and Associate Medical Officer of Health are available on-call outside of regular business hours (after hours, on holidays, and weekends). Over the holidays, please continue to report all Diseases of Public Health Significance (DOPHS) and submit requests for post-exposure prophylaxis as required.

Adjusted holiday hours
Immunization services
Immunization clinics - Closed December 23, 2025 to January 4, 2026. Services will resume on Monday, January 5, 2026.
Phone support for reporting immunizations will be unavailable from December 25 to January 1. Services will resume on Friday, January 2, 2026. Parents can continue to report their children's immunizations online. Encourage families to use the online reporting tool. A video was developed to help guide them through the process.
Vaccine ordering
The vaccine order desk will be closed from December 25, 2025, to January 1, 2026 (inclusive). To ensure your vaccine orders are processed and ready before the closure, submit your order by December 12.
- Orders submitted on or before December 12 will be ready for pick-up prior to December 25.
- Orders submitted after December 12 will be available for pick-up starting the first week of January.
Orders can only be picked up on days when the pick-up location is open (see below). Please wait for confirmation of your pick-up details.
- Hurontario (7120 Hurontario Street, Mississauga) is closed from December 25 to January 1.
- Brampton (10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton) is closed on December 25, 26, and January 1.
- Fairview (325 Central Parkway West, Unit 21, Mississauga) is closed on December 25, 26, and January 1.

Cold chain failure reminders
If your fridge temperatures (current, max/min) goes below +2.0 C or above +8.0 C:
- Do not administer any vaccines and place a sign on the vaccine fridge “Do Not Use”. All staff should be informed to not use any vaccines until a Public Health Nurse has provided direction.
- Keep your vaccine refrigerator door closed.
- Leave the vaccines in the fridge. Do not move the vaccines to another fridge that is not approved for storing publicly funded vaccines.
- Continue to document the fridge temperatures in the temperature logbook.
- Report the cold chain failure immediately by leaving a voicemail on 905-799-7700, ext. 2840 or email vmphn@peelregion.ca. Include the following in your message: date, facility name, RMP_MS_XXXXX code, contact name, and phone number/email address. A Public Health Nurse will contact you to complete a cold chain failure investigation on the next business day.
Family Health
Phone support for infant feeding, parenting, prenatal, referrals to Healthy Babies Healthy Children (HBHC), and referrals to infant feeding services are open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on December 22, 23, 26, 29, 30, and January 2, 2026. This call centre is closed on December 24, 25, 31, and January 1, 2026.

Healthy Babies Healthy Children (HBHC)
- HBHC will be providing home visits in Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon on: December 24, 29, 30, 31, January 2.
- HBHC home visits will not be available on: December 25,26, 27, 28, January 1.
- HBHC Hospital Liaison support will be available at Brampton Civic Hospital and Trillium Health Partners locations on: December 24, 26, 29, 30, 31, January 2.
Oral Health phone support
Oral health phone support for the Healthy Smiles Ontario program and the Ontario Seniors Dental Care program will be closed from December 25 to January 1 (inclusive). Phone support will resume regular business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on January 2, 2026.

- December 24, 29, 30, 31: adjusted hours 12 to 8 p.m.
- December 27: regular hours 3:30 to 11:30 p.m.
- December 25, 26, and January 1, 2026 – no mobile van service.
- January 2, 2026 return to regular hours 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
