Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI) reporting update
The following vaccine safety resources have now been updated and are available on Public Health Ontario’s website:
These updates include:
- Integration of select COVID-19 Adverse Events of Special Interest (AESIs) into general AEFI categories.
- Revisions to adverse event types to align with the updated national reporting form from the Public Health Agency of Canada.
The COVID-19 AESI Technical Brief will be retired on July 21.
Health care providers (such as physicians, nurses, and pharmacists) are required by law to report AEFIs. Fax the completed AEFI reporting form to Peel Public Health at 905-565-0426.
