Supporting community agencies
Established in 2020, the Community Response Table brings together partners across Peel to identify emerging community needs, share information, and coordinate action. As part of Peel's broader Community Safety and Well-being Plan network, the table strengthens collaboration across sectors and supports timely, equitable responses to complex health and social challenges.
Purpose
The Community Response Table helps partners identify emerging issues, strengthen collaboration, and build community readiness through four key functions:
- Identify emerging issues by monitoring community trends and needs
- Coordinate action across sectors to address gaps and challenges
- Share information and resources to support informed decision-making
- Advance equity by incorporating diverse perspectives and lived experience
Ongoing goals
As community needs continue to evolve, the Community Response Table meetings will focus on the following goals:
Equity champion and community voice: Creating trusted spaces the centre community voices, promote equity and inclusion, identify emerging needs and support readiness for change
Learning and capacity building hub: Supporting knowledge sharing, skill development, and community-wide preparedness for future opportunities and challenges.
Connector and action driver: Strengthening collaboration across systems and sectors to support coordinated action and address emerging issues.
