Thank you to Peel’s early childhood professionals

October 24 is Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day.

We would like to acknowledge the dedicated early childhood professionals who care for Peel’s children and families.

Early childhood educators are trained experts in early childhood development who are essential to our Peel community. They help Peel’s youngest minds develop and thrive through child-centred, play-based learning.

Early childhood professionals working in licensed child care make it possible for parents and guardians to go to work, knowing their children are safely cared for.

In addition to providing quality licensed child care, early childhood professionals support families through EarlyON programs so families and their children can learn, play, and grow together in engaging and inclusive spaces.

Early childhood professionals working in Peel Inclusion Resource Services (PIRS) agencies support the healthy development and inclusion of young children in early years settings.

At Peel Region, we value our early childhood professionals every day. Our new workforce strategy page has information, tools, and resources to support the early years and child care workforce. It’s also an important resource to help attract, recruit, and retain qualified early childhood professionals in Peel.

On October 24, Peel Region buildings at 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton and 7120 Hurontario Street, Mississauga will be lit up in blue in honour of Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day.
