Axle load weight restrictions
Axle load weight restrictions are set each year to protect Regional roads from excessive damage during the spring thaw.
From March 1 to April 30, any axle on a commercial motor vehicle or trailer weighing more than 5,000 kg (5 tonnes per axle) is NOT allowed on any Regional road in the following list.
If you don't follow these rules you can be fined as per Section 125 of the Highway Traffic Act.
