- Aerosol can (empty)
This item is recyclable.
Put this item in your recycling (blue) cart or a transparent clear or blue-tinted plastic bag.
Special disposal instructions or restrictions:
- Use or consume the items contents. Make sure the item is clean and empty before placing it in your recycling.
- Do not flatten.
- Put any foil or plastic seals, stoppers, or tear-away tabs in the garbage.
- Remove the lid from the can to get two separate items. Put the lid and the can in your recycling.
- The lid on your recycling cart must be completely closed for collection. A closed lid helps prevent litter.
- Recycling is mandatory in the Region of Peel.
- The Region collects unlimited amounts of recycling waste from the curb.
- If your recycling cart is full, put recyclables in a transparent clear or blue-tinted plastic bag. Place the bag outside of your recycling cart on your collection day.
- You can also take blue-cart-acceptable recyclables to a Peel Community Recycling Centre (CRC).

- Take the barbeque to the CRC platform for disposal. A disposal fee will apply.
Option 2: Scrap metal collector
- Barbeques can be recycled as scrap metal. Find a scrap metal collector in your area.
- Take the empty or full propane tank to a Peel Community Recycling Centre (CRC) HHW Depot for safe disposal free of charge.
Option 3: Garbage
- Remove the propane tank then place the barbeque on the curb on your regular garbage collection day. Find your collection calendar.

Additional information:
- The Salvation Army Thrift Store,the Salvation Army Thrift Store Donor Welcome Centres, and the Bolton CRC Evolve Lifestyle store provide reuse services to Peel residents.
- Scrap metal up to 2.4 m (8 ft) in length is accepted at all CRCs free of charge.
- Peel CRCs accept HHW items free of charge from residents of Peel.

- Batteries
This item is household hazardous waste (HHW).
Never put batteries in your recycling, garbage, or organics bin.
Incorrectly disposing of batteries causes fires and can put workers at risk.
You can dispose of batteries year round for free at convenient drop-off locations near you or at any Community Recycling Centre (CRC).Free battery collection happens twice a year. Watch how to put your batteries out for collection:
Battery collection guidelines:- All single-use andrechargeablebatteries that weigh less than 5 kg (11lbs) are collected.
- Car batteries and sealed lead acid batteries are not collected. Take these types of batteries to a Community Recycling Centre for free disposal.
Preparing your batteries for collection:
- Stick tape to the ends of all rechargeable and 9V batteries before disposal.
- You can also put the rechargeable batteries individually into bags.
- Put single-use and rechargeable batteries in a clear resealable bag.
- On your battery pickup day, place your bag of batteries on top of your closed organics (green) bin.
- If you dont have a green bin, place your bag of batteries beside your recycling bags.
For apartments and condominiums
Check with your buildings property management for proper disposal options. Your property manager can contact Peel Region to arrange a battery collection service.
