Peel Region Chief Administrative Officer Gary Kent re-elected to Council of International Accountants’ Association
BRAMPTON, ON (November 10, 2025) - The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has recently announced that Peel Region Chief Administrative Officer Gary Kent, CPA, CGA, FCCA, has been re-elected as an ACCA Council Member to serve on their governing council for a consecutive three-year term.
ACCA is the leading global body of finance and accounting professionals, representing 257,900 accountants from 180 countries across the world. The ACCA Council Election results were announced at their AGM in London, UK, on November 6th, 2025.
Gary brings extensive experience to the role of ACCA Council member with over 25 years in municipal finance and accounting from various senior roles including CFO and Commissioner of Corporate Services at Peel Region and City of Mississauga respectively. A Fellow Member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), and a Chartered Professional Accountant of Canada (CPA), Gary also holds the ICD.D designation, having completed the Directors Education Program from the Institute of Corporate Directors, Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
