Peel Region appoints Wes Anderson as Managing Finance Director

BRAMPTON, Ont. (October 29, 2025) - Peel Region is pleased to announce the appointment of Wes Anderson as the new Managing Finance Director, effective Nov. 3, 2025. 

Wes will play a central role in driving Peel's commitment to modernization and value-added service across the organization and to partners. Wes will be the Chief Financial Officer's delegate as the Treasurer for Peel and will also be responsible for overseeing Peel's newly streamlined operational processes, change management, adoption of new technologies, and managing cross-departmental efficiency projects that support key financial functions, including Accounting and Controllership and Business Financial Planning.

Wes brings over 20 years of robust experience in financial services and strategic planning. He most recently served as a Senior Manager of Business Planning at the City of Mississauga, where his team successfully led initiatives to improve budgeting processes and implement system integrations. Wes holds the designations of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
